Power lines LV, MV and HV
The distribution of electricity is the last step in the process of delivery of electricity to the end user after the production and transmission and is realized through a typical network infrastructure, that is the electrical distribution network capillary till the users. Generally this network comprises electrical lines to medium voltage (between 10 and 20 kV) and low voltage lines (less than 1000 V, usually 400 V), processing plants HV/ MV (primary substations), transformers on poles or electric substations in the medium voltage (secondary substations), disconnecting switches and switches, measuring.
The high voltage lines (between 60 and 400 kV) instead, are part of the transmission network. Our company works in the maintenance of existing lines and construction new lines to satisfy the latest technical requirements.
Overhead transmission lines
The power lines for high voltage are almost exclusively aircraft and are constituted by pylons or tubular made of metal, suitably designed in order to maintain the wire ropes (the “conductor”) at a height from the ground high enough to ensure electrical isolation and reduction of electromagnetic fields on the ground. The pylons and the tubular pylons are assembled by transporting preassembled sections, transported and assembled with the help of cranes or helicopters. Once erected the lattice, it goes to the laying stage of the conductor, which is towed by means of an appropriate “tow rope”. Through of the winches is goes to the phase of stringing, which allows you to tighten up (and lift) the lead up to the desired height. For these works the company is able to perform preliminary work such as:
- delimitation and survey of the area;
- control of the sections of the supports;
- marking of the foundations on any kind of surface.
